This translation is done to brake a jinx, which tells that ‘Bhoot’ means ghost!!! or this Tantra, deals with exorcisms of ghost enchanting etc!! This is an approach to establish the glory of it; which it had during its epoch. This would certainly be a great readout for worshipers of Sri Bhairava.

Description:
Vijnanabhairava is a very ancient book on Yoga. It closely follows the basic principles of
Saivagama. It contains 112 types of Yoga. There is hardly any other book on yoga which has described so many ways of approach to Central Reality that is present in each man as his essential Self. It is both extensive and intensive in the treatment of the subject of yoga.
An English translation of this excellent work is being provided for the first time. The text that
has been adopted is mainly the one that is published in the Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies. At a few places, however, slightly different readings yielding better sense have been
incorporated as suggested by Swami Laksmana Joo.
Each verse of the Sanskrit text has been printed in both Devanagari and Roman script. This is followed by an English translation and a number of expository notes which will go a long way in elucidating the main idea of the verse.
A long Introduction explaining the basic principles of the yogas described in the text has been provided in the beginning. A glossary of technical terms has also been added at the end.
The book has for the first time been translated into English. The translation of each verse is followd by copious expository notes, which contain not only all that is of any value in the Sanskrit commentaries, but also many practical suggestions made by Svami Lakshmana Joo on the basis of his personal experience of these Yogas.
In order to understand the philosophical background of these Yogas, the reader is advised to go through the introductory portion of the author's Pratyabhijnahrdayam or the Siva-sutras.

DESCRIPTION:
The Spandakarikas are a number of verses that serve as a sort of commentary on the Siva-sutras. According to Saivagama, the divine consciousness is not simply cold, inert intellection. It is rather spanda, active, dynamic, throbbing with life, creative pulsation.
In Siva-sutras, it is the prakasa aspect of the divine that is emphasized; in Spandakarikas, it is the vimarsa aspect that is emphasized. Together, these two books give us integral view of Saiva philosophy.
Ksemaraja has written a commentary on Spandakarikas, titled Spanda-nirnaya. He is fond of sesquipedalian compounds, long and windy sentences, but he is very profound in the comprehension of the subject and so cannot be ignored.
The author tried to provide a readable translation of both the karikas and the Spanda-nirnaya commentary. Each karika (verse) is given both in Devanagari and Roman script, followed by its translation in English. This is followed by Ksemaraja's commentary in Sanskrit. Then follows an English translation of the commentary. After this, copious notes are added on important and technical words. Finally, a running exposition of each karika in author's own words is given.

Description:
From the Book
The Paratrisika (or Paratrimsika) is a short Tantra which has been held in the highest esteem by Kashmir Saivism or Trika. After Somananda, Abhinavagupta has written two commentaries on it, a short one (Laghuvrtti) and an extensive one-the present Vivarana which is presented here for the first time in an English translation. The Paratrisika Vivarana is one of the most fascinating but also most difficult texts of the Kashmir Saiva School, and of the mystical philosophical literature of India as a whole. It deals with Ultimate Reality (anuttara or para) and with the methods of realization, centred above all in the theory and practice of the mantra. Abhinavagupta displays here his great exegetical genius and presents a penetrating metaphysics of language, of the word (vak) and its various stages in relation to consciousness. His language reflects in a luminous fashion the mystical experience contained in this text.
The present translation of Abhinavagupt's masterpiece will not only be a milestone in the study of Kashmir Saivism, but it also makes available one of the major mystical texts of the Indian tradition to readers interested in philosophy and spirituality.

About the Author
Elisabeth Benard became interested in India at the age of twelve years when her father first brought back Hindu image from a trip to India. For many years she looked at these image in her family library never dreaming that one day she would become a scholar in Indian religions. She researched in India under the auspicious of the American Institute of Indian Studies and received her doctorate from Columbia University. She has lectured widely in the United States, including at Smithsonian Institute and Asia Society, as well as in India and Japan. She has taught at Princeton, Rutgers University, Collage of Wooster and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Presently she is teaching Hinduism, Women in Religion, and Asian Religions at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
This is the first monograph which examines the rare Hindu and Buddhist Tantric Goddess, Chinnamasta, her rituals, her names and forms (namarupa) and their symbolism by comparing and contrasting her sadhanas (spiritual practices) in Hinduism and Buddhism. The entire Hindu "Chinnamastatantra" section from the Sakta Pramoda, the Buddhist "Chinnamunda Vajravarahisadhana" and the "Trikayavajrayoginistuti" are translated for the first time into English. Since Chinnamasta is a rare goddess, her texts were not popularized or made "fashionable" according to the dictates of a particular group at a particular time. The earliest extant texts date from the ninth and tenth centuries-a time when Hindu and Buddhist Tantras were developing under common influences in the same places in India. Having such texts about Chinnamasta Chinnamasta from these centuries, one can begin to understand the mutuality of a general Tantric tradition and the exclusivity of a particular Hindu or Buddhist Tantric tradition. Hence the study, not only examines Chinnamasta, but also attempts to understand what is a Tantric tradition.
Foreword
Elisabeth Benard’s work on the Hindu-Buddhist goddess Chinnamastã is a product of indefatigable energy, not overlooking any lead from Sanskrit and Tibetan texts or from knowledgeable informants. So to cast light on a goddess that was strangely obscure and yet implicates any Indian goddess properly to be called wondrous or arousing of awe. Although completed in the United States, her treatise does not follow a History of Religions approach with a baggage of technical terms. Besides, Dr. Benard avoids the guessing and speculations that characterized some previous references to this goddess. Throughout she employs a direct communication with the reader while soberly basing her conclusions on stated sources.
One welcome feature of Benard’s book is the translation of much material from the Sakta Pramoda. Another fine feature is the treatment of the goddess’s names, both the 108 and 1,000 list. Her classification of the names by the rasas of Hindu drama is probably unique.
This work is a solid contribution to the theories of the Hindu and Buddhist Tantras and their symbolism, in particular as related to the goddess.

DESCRIPTION
Secrets Of Aghora Aghoris are devotees of Shiva manifested as Bhairava are monists who seek moksha from the cycle of reincarnation or samsara. An aghori believes in getting into total darkness by all means, and then getting into light or self realizing. Though this is a different approach from other Hindu sects, they believe it to be effective. They are infamously known for their rituals that include such as shava samskara or shava sadhana to invoke the mother goddess in her form as Smashan Tara. In natural the Aghora sadhana is a process of unlearning deeply internalized cultural models. When this sadhana takes the form of charnel ground sadhana, the Aghori faces death as a very young child, simultaneously meditating on the totality of life at its two extermes. This ideal example serves as a prototype for other Aghor practices, both left and right, in ritual and in daily life.SPECIFICATION:

Editorial Reviews
Excellent book. Might be a disturbing read to some, but if you're already aware of Aghori practices this book gives you a great insight on the why & how of this way of life. Despite its lengthy details regarding tantrik practices in relation to spirits, the dead, and even sex, what one will take away the most from this book is the whole idea of how the Universe functions. The Aghori whom this book is about must have been a great soul indeed, and wise enough to have this book published after his death considering the questionable nature of spiritualists in today's society. --By SG on 13 March 2016
I had no idea about Aghora or Aghori, but i have seen some crazy naked sadhu''s in documentary of 'Kumbh Mela' a mass Hindu pilgrimage in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred river Ganga. I was wondering why they are naked, what kind of rituals they do and there was no answers even after reading top or best selling spiritual books! But as i completed this book, everything was very clear to me. --By Ganesh on 22 June 2016
This book contains aghora wisdoms and left hand tantra. It's a great read. However it may seem disturbing to some because of uncommon and extreme aghora rituals. But Vimalananda has beautifully explained the relevance of each ritual with red flags of caution for curious aspirants at appropriate places. --By varun on 25 April 2014

Description:
Religion is the root of Indian culture. Rituals and believes are the integral part of Hindu Religion. It becomes more powerful when a devotee develops reverence into it.
Fundamentally a society, which has faith in religion, believes in their own deities or gods and goddesses and pay their homage to them. Apart from ritual commodities, mantras and its chanting, yantras or mandalas play a special and important role in ritual ceremony. It is considered that if mantras are devatas (deities) then yantras are the abode of them. Without yantras, the ritual of deities remains incomplete.
In order to attain perfection in worship, it is suggested that puja with yantras of their related deities is more beneficial.
This book comprises of yantras used for all major gods, goddesses and deities accomplished with meaningful colour and geometrical composition.
The aim of this book is basically to introduce the reader to the fundamental principles that Trika Philosophers have enunciated in their philosophical-cum-theological treatises. Such an approach has been adopted deliberately on account of the fact that Trika system of thought, which is very rich in philosophical vocabulary, is hardly known to general public in the manner of Advaita Vedanta of Samkara. Although non-dualistic in orientation, yet it differs radically from the monism of Samkara with regard to the nature of the Absolute and the world. The Trika philosophy rejects the Vedantic view of the Absolute theistically, and so speaks of Paramasiva as being both consciousness and reflective awareness. As such the Absolute freedom, and so the school also is referred to as being that of Freedom. Insofar as the status of the world is concerned, the Trika thinks of it as being extension/emission/reflection of Paramasiva and so is considered to be real. It means that the world, even though a reflection of Paramasiva, is actually Siva itself.
From these main differences it can be discerned that the Trika absolutism is radically different from the one that Samkara has adumbrated. It is hoped that the reader upon reading the book will be able to have the grasp of the main philosophical principles that the Trika has enunciated and developed.
Moti Lal Pandit, trained as a theologian and linguist, has been engaged for last three decades in such dialogic research as would disseminate knowledge concerning the essence of such forms of spirituality as has been enunciated by such major religions as Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity. The result of this untiring effort has been the publication of such books as, for example, Vedic Hinduism; Philosophy of the Upanisads; Samkara's Concept of Reality; Being as Becoming; Beyond the Word; Transcendence and Negation; Buddhism: A Religion of Salvation; The Trika Saivism of Kashmir; Encounter with Buddhism; and The Disclosure of Being.

DESCRIPTION
The Paratrishika Vivarana by the great Kashmiri philosopher and mystic Abhinavagupta is an extensive commentary on the Paratrishika Tantra, and it is one of the most profound texts, not only of non-dualist Kashmir Shaivism, but of Indian philosophy and mysticism in general. The present work attempts to make this difficult text accessible, by culling out the important themes and offering an interpretation. The main focus is on the understanding of the Absolute (Anuttara) and the ways to realize it. The central theme of mantra also leads to a mysticism of language with its philosophical implications. All these reflections and practices are inscribed in the theory that everything is related to the totality, every part contains the whole of reality (sarvam sarvatmakam). It is this holistic vision of Abhinavagupta, based on the Tantras, which makes this work so relevant in our times of fragmented aspects of life and knowledge in search of integration. No doubt, in the view of the Tantra and of Abhinavagupta, language and mantra provide the key. This fascinating book is an important contribution to studies and interpretations on Kashmir Shaivism, its spirituality and philosophy, and on Abhinavagupta in particular.SPECIFICATION:

DESCRIPTION
Back Cover: ‘Life is one’. Jesus said it, Buddha said it and so did all the great spiritual leaders that have ever existed. This book tries to explain the various aspects of life in respect to the intimate relationship each person has with it. What on Earth does the concept of oneness mean if everything and everyone seems to be separated by space? Is it true that every person on the planet expresses an aspect of myself? Is my interpretation of life a result of my experiences that allow me to form values and beliefs? Do I feel happy when these values and beliefs are confirmed and confronted when they are threatened? As is the case with most humans I too like my experience of reality to be confirmed. Unfortunately I had not met anyone until now that could confirm what I experienced. His name is Niranjan, he is the overseer of the Satyananda Yoga Tradition. I have been blessed to have questions answered by him that had been on my mind for several years. This has required dedication and sustained effort while my mind has been soley focussed on one subject. This book is the ‘effect’ from two specific events. Firstly, while singing a yogic tune and washing up I entered a meditative state and was told to write book IV. In a couple of minutes it resulted in the content of the book being about prana in the body relative to the breath, prana in the universe relative to creation, the human bodies link to creation through the chakras, the prana in the chakras and the sounds on their petals. Secondly, I do not know what to do with the knowledge I have gained and feel that if I do not have an outlet for it I may spontaneously combust. So here I go on yet another journeySPECIFICATION:
