Description
Any venture starts with invoking the blessings of the Almighty for success. As part of the holy fire in the invocation is a bundle of sticks called in Sanskrit, "Samithu". Samithu (wood used for homam) : erukku, purasu, karungali, nayuruvi, arasu, athi, vanni, arugam grass etc. Samithu is the bundle of dry sticks with which the fire is invoked in any Homam. The sticks of Erukku, Purasu, Karungali, Arasu, Athi, Vanni that fall down themselves and get dried are collected and bundled for offering to God by invoking fire. Also, the dried grasses like Nayuruvi, Arugan, etc. also forms part of Samithu. For those who are doing self enquiry they may be having yagna in which all the thoughts are the SAMITHU. The question will be (who I am ) will be the ghee falls into the fire of yagna. The ghee and the samithu all get burn, the prasam is the thoughtless stage, which gives the enlightenment.

Description
The brass wick Puja lamp is nicely designed with minute details. Lamps are part and parcel of any temple and they are also kept in home where pujas are offered. In all religious rituals or puja, such wick lamps are used prominently and people seek blessings from such lamps. It is earnestly believed that light from such lamps comes from the God Himself. It is customary in India that all auspicious religious events and even important social functions will begin with the lighting of a lamp. This is like an invitation to the divine to come and bless us. An elaborate “Aarti” prayer ceremony is performed with five diyas burning at once. Description
In this beautiful brass figure, Lord Ganesha with five-wick lamp is given a spectacular touch. The light symbolizes knowledge, illuminating and “en-lighten-ing” us. The light emanating from the ghee lamp removes darkness, ignorance and evil. The light or knowledge shows us the way out of our problems, fears, tensions, and unhappiness. The light of a ghee lamp is believed to bring in prosperity, as knowledge or wisdom is the greatest form of wealth. The wick is a symbol of energy and light where a light emits brightness. It is customary in India that all auspicious religious events and even important social functions will begin with the lighting of a lamp. This is like an invitation to the divine to come and bless us. In Hindu temples an elaborate “Aarti” prayer ceremony is performed with 5 diyas burning at once, and waved gently in a circular motion- in a clockwise manner, in front of a picture or statue of a deity. This aarti ritual literally purifies the atmospheric air. This symbolizes our dedication and oneness with the Lord and gathering from Him a part of his piousness and immense power and strength.
