The beautiful brass oil lamp depicts the goddess of wealth and prosperity and chastity Laxmi. The six-wick lamp is given a royal and refine touch reflecting a sense of purity and chastiy. The signifance of a oil lamp for the Hindus is succinctly described in Gita. "Mankind errs here
By folly, darkening knowledge. But, for whom
That darkness of the soul is chased by Light (of the Lord),
Splendid and clear shines manifest the Truth
As if a Sun of Wisdom sprang to shed
Its beams of dawn. Him mediating still,
Him seeking, with Him blended, stayed on Him,
The souls illuminated take that road
Which hath no turning back—their sins flung off
By strength of faith. Who will, may have this Light;
Who hath it, sees." (Bhagavad-Gita).
Oil lamps are an integral part of any Hindu temple and such lamps are also used in home shrines. Normally the lamps used in temples are circular with places for five wicks. There will usually be at least one lamp in each shrine, and the main shrine may contain several. Whereas normally only one wick is lit, with all five or even six burning only on festive occasions. The oil lamp is used in Aarti.

Description
Here the Apostle of devotion Lord Hanuman is depicted sitting in a meditative posture with his five faces. Lord Hanuman here has five faces and ten hands. The five faces are that of Lord Hanuman, Lord Narasimha, Lord Adivaraha, Lord Hayagriva, and Lord Garuda. During the war between Lord Rama and Ravana, Ravana sought the assistance of Mahiravanka, the king of pathala.
In order to protect Lord Ram and Lakshman, Lord Hanuman formed a fortress with his tail. Mahiravana took the form of Vibeeshana and took Lord Ram and Lakshman to pathala loka.
Hanuman entered pathala loka in search of Rama and Lakshmana and found that to kill Mahiravana he had to extinguish five lamps burning in five different directions simultaneously. So he has taken the Panchamukha form with Hanuman, Hayagriva, Narasimha, Garuda and Varaha faces and extinguished the lamps and killed Mahiravana. According to Hanumath Prakaranam in Sri Vidyarnavatantram, Anjaneya has five faces (Pancha Mukha) and ten weapons.
