    Description

The beautiful brass figure of Lord Hanuman is given a spectacular touch. The lord is in a meditative posture and there are furs in the entire body, whereas normally his body is carved out without furs. It seems the Pawanputra is in a deep meditation for quite long time. He is wearing long garlands and his headgear is also nicely carved. The figure reveals lot of gravity and seriousness and the Lord is engrossed thinking about his Lord (Ramchandra). This is evident in the figure of the Lord being carved in his chest. Every morning, especially Monday, one must chant this mantra about Hanuma: “Aum aeem bhreem hanumate, shree ram dootaaya namaha” and you will be blessed with power and energy.
Hanuman means "one with prominent or disfigured jaw". According to another theory, his name derives from the Sanskrit terms Han ("killed" or "destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pride was destroyed". Lord Rama summarizes attributes of Hanuman's personality in the following manner. He is the ablest sentence maker, He is the-know-er of all Vedas and Scriptures, He is the scholar in nine schools of grammars and one who is possessing faultless speech and facial features.
