Description
Here Goddess Sherawali-maa-seated-on-lion. In her eight hands she is holding weapons. One of the most prominent female deities, the goddess Durga is a form of Devi, the supremely radiant goddess. She had 10 arms, riding a lion or a tiger, carrying weapons (including a Lotus flower), maintaining a meditative smile, and practicing mudras, or symbolic hand gestures. Durga is considered to be an aspect of Kali, and the mother of Ganesha, and Kartikeya. She is thus considered the fiercer, demon-fighting form of Shiva's wife, goddess Parvati. Durga manifests fearlessness and patience, and never loses her sense of humor, even during spiritual battles of epic proportion. Durga is believed as a form of Shakti worshipped for her grace as well as terrifying aspect. Mother of the Universe, she represents the infinite power of the universe and is a symbol of a material manifestation in the world.

Description
Mother goddess Durga is depicted here as a warrior woman riding a lion with multiple hands carrying weapons and assuming symbolic hand gestures. She is portrayed here as the embodiment of feminine and creative energy (Shakti). Durga was the creation out of the combined energies of all the gods and goddesses to kill the demon Mahishasur. Her form was blindingly beautiful with 3 lotus-like, blood-bordered eyes, ten powerful hands, hair in the form of black pearls, golden glow from her skin. Her face was sculpted by Shiva, torso by Indra, breasts by Chandra (the moon), teeth by Brahma, bottom by the Earth, thighs and knees by Varuna (wind), and her three eyes by Agni (fire). Each god also gave her their own most powerful weapons, Rudra's trident, Vishnu's discus, Indra's thunderbolt, Brahma's kamandal, Kuber's gada etc. Himalayas gifted her a fierce white tiger. On the end of the 8th & beginning of the 9th day of waxing moon, Chanda and Munda came to fight the goddess. Her form was the most powerful one with 3 red eyes, blood-filled toungue and dark skin; who finally killed the twin demons with her sword. The figure has been heavily decorated with the goddess and the roaring lion being given equal treatment.
