About the Author
Swami Nikhilananda is known as a notable monk of the Ramakrishna order. He has authored several other books including The Upanishads, The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, Life of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, Religion and World Fellowship, Essence of Hinduism, Mandukya Upanishad and SelfKnowledge etc. He was born in 1895 and was a direct disciple of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. During his lifetime, he introduced the teachings of Yoga and Vedanta to the West. He is known for penning down translations of the Indian spiritual literature. In 1933, he laid down the foundation of the RamakrishnaVivekananda Center of New York and worked as its spiritual leader until his death.
Dhan Gopal Mukerji is a lecturer and a prolific author. His other popular works include Gay Neck: The Story of a Pigeon, LaylaMajnu, Caste and Outcaste, Sandhya, A Son of Mother India Answers, Visit India With Me, The Song of God, My Brother's Face, Devotional Passages from the Hindu Bible and many more.Born on 6th July 1890, he was among those earlier individuals who left India for America.
